Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Be Eating Apples!
Apples have been on the top of my food list lately and here's why:
1) Whiter + Healthier Teeth
Seriously, who doesn't want that?! People spend a fortune trying to get pearly whites and it's as simple as eating an apple. The chewing and biting of the apples stimulates saliva, which helps reduce tooth decay by lowering bacteria levels.
2) Boosts Your Immune System
If you live in Louisiana, you know the weather is know help to keeping us sick free, so why not by indulging in red apples. Red apples contain an antioxidant called quercetin, which can help boost and fortify your immune system, especially when you’re stressed out.
3) Weight Control
Avoid all of the health problems associated with being overweight, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea, etc. In order to manage your weight, you should have a diet that's rich in fiber to help keep you full longer.
4) Reduce the Risk of Various Cancers
Multiple studies have been conducted in regards to apples helping prevent pancreatic cancer; anti growth cancer cells in the liver, colon, and breast.
5) Detoxify Your Liver
There's always news about the next best juice cleanse (some I agree with) but an even better way to detox, is to fill up on fruits like apples!
